another drinkable, pleasant, and fruity hoppy beer from these guys, where we liked all of the beers we had. this is not as thick and hazy as has become fashionable, more of just an unfiltered look to it, with a tall white head, a straw color to it, and an awesome nose thats driven by ripe peach and apricot, grapefruit, and green grapes, really fresh and appealing to me. its one of the stronger beers that was on tap here when we were in, but it hides it well, and the body remains really light, especially for the style. juicy mango notes here too in the flavor, hardly any bitterness at all, just a bit of an english crystal complexion to the grain, and then a lot of citrus at the end. i was surprised to not find the beers in here to have much yeast character, decidedly modern in that way, no english yeast in these it doesnt appear, or they have done a real nice job keeping it way back in favor of the hops in most of their beers. this drinks light for what it is, not quite as awesome as the vic secret pale ale, but a really solid ipa. these guys made some of the best beers we had anywhere in london!
