CAN
Hazy bronze with loose off white froth, orange segment nose with threads of dank, melon, + oily leaf. Speck of Carr’s, Lemonhedz, some pine needle, cantaloupe, apricot esters, + lemon balm; salty.

Citra, Mosaic, Nelson

3.75 x 5

Feb 20 canning - 3.5 weeks in the can. And it’s filled right to the lid, so all good practices for NEIPA so far.
Nose is not deep, overall, but opens into some nice candied grapefruit. And there is a bunch of fruit in the mix (along with some hop burn), so the intention is in the right place.
The problem is the body: way undercarbed, and not quite soft enough for a NEIPA. So it ends up sitting syrupy, which also saps the brightness from the fruit (especially Nelson, which is MIA entirely.)
It is generally on style, but third or even fourth tier among UK NEIPA brewers: Wylam, Deya, Verdant, of course Cloudwater, but even Northern Monk all do this far better.

Nice shot, but falls short.
