Excellent brew - perhaps a bit rough and astringent with some burnt notes in the malt, but overall an excellent effort. Barrel has faded significantly and integrated nicely into the base beer. Good mouthfeel and soft creamy finish

Pours black n tan, five finger head. Too much. Subsides well.
Very strong and bitter coffee and slightly burnt roast flavours.
Mellows as it warms, but very little barrel aged notes. No vanilla.
High ABV but moderate weight.
All in all not smooth enough for the barrel treatment nor the price.

Completely engulfs the glass with it's Big 'n Beardy head. Black as night. Insane lacing and retention. The best looking stout I've ever had the pleasure to see.
Strong Oak-forward aromas. Sour funkiness is very pleasant and mixes well with the strong sweet white wine presence. Whiskey and coffee come through as it warms.
Bloody hell. Big roast front. A bitter dark chocolate lead-in to another hit of funky oak and char. And the red wine comes...just love the evolution this beer has in the mouth. Lingers forever.
Big and full bodied. Medium carbonation. Clean whiskey dryness.
If this is any indication of future releases from this very new brewery then I will be buying anything they put out.

Aged for one year on same barrels as Aurora Borelis 1 I believe and pours a dark kola almost black with a two finger chocolate laced head and lacing everywhere, smell is big whiskey and oak, a touch of funk, red wine and more barrels, feel is full bodied moderately carbonated and the taste is chocolate, coffee, funky oak and finished with a whiskey dryness that really levels it all out and overall top drop by some new brewers to me keep it up cheers.
