When you brew as much as we do, sometimes we get tired of telling the yeast what to do. For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it's thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opportunity to let it part your lips and you may find yourself at the top of the food chain.

16 oz can into a tulip glass.
L: Pours lightly clouded straw medium gold color with very steady carbo, a 1/2" slightly soapy & fizzy dull white head that recedes to creamy froth, light random lacing.
S: Orchard fruits, yeast, a light bready note, pastry dough, a hint of wet hay.
T: Apple, pear, distant yeast, lemon, a hint of white grape, balanced sweet & tart, distant pineapple, a light caramelization note, a drop of honey.
F: Lightly brisk then soft & smooth medium bodied mouthfeel with a medium length fairly drying finish.
O: Severely refreshing. Beautifully balanced tastes and feel . It is not complex. I'm instantly a fan of this Saison. It is outstanding in its style.

Refreshing and crisp on a muggy summer day with a nice yeast train.

16 oz can into a tulip. Hazy creamy golden color with a robust pillowy white head with staying and ring-laying power. Yeasty and fruity (pineapple, Meyer lemon, melon) aroma. Similar flavor. Medium, smooth mouthfeel. Flavorful and easy-drinking saison.

Beautiful semi-hazy ligh gold color, smells faintly funky, yeasty, citrusy. Taste is subtle and nuance with slight hop and yeasty notes. Some lemony citrus, nice full effervescent mouthfeel. Overall this is a great saison.

Fruity and dry, which was enjoyable. Beautiful golden color, pours with minimal foam. Yet, it’s highly carbonated.

Appearance: Slightly hazy, straw gold. Fluffy white head with excellent retention. Fast rising bubbles.
Aroma: Light fruity esters of apples and pears. Very faint funk note - hardly noticeable.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Floral and herbal. Low sweetness. Moderate to low bitterness. Low tartness.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied. Drying. Medium carbonation. Medium length finish.
Overall: Very nice Saison. Crisp and dry start to finish. Fruity esters and hops with a floral and herbal note. Virtually no funk to it, just a hint but not enough to detract from the overall beer. It has an underlying tartness that you don't notice at first, the bitterness kind of papers over it. Well crafted.

Very slightly hazy light golden color with a respectable and lasting white head.
The aroma is grass, fresh hay,a hint of pineapple, melon and honey. The taste is honey and melon up front, pineapple and lemon, faintly sweet. The finish is dry with grassy herbal notes and a moderate bitterness.
The body is light/medium, plenty of carbonation, crisp but also smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very nice saison, tasty and very refreshing, not to mention nice artwork on the can, this could be a regular item, outstanding.

Clear pale gold with a moderately tall white foam head.
Much fruitier than I recall, it's slightly corny sweet, but also kind of like pineapple...?
It's got a light fluffiness to it, and despite that initial sweetness, it still somehow comes to a very faintly herbal semi-bitter bitter finish. It grows on me over the course of a session.
