A great surprise tap at DLD. I am not a big fan of gin, but the barrel made this one of my favorite Berliner weiss beers I have ever had. Would love to find bottles of it.

This was the best wild/sour/fruit beer at Fobab '15 for me.
The barrel aging added some nice complexity to balance the singular tartness and meshed seamlessly.
Pale golden yellow, ample frothy white foam and spotty lace. Aromas of gin botanicals behind the more dominant unique lemon-lime citrus of the Yuzu. Tart and dry, very crisp and clean with a lingering lemon-lime citrus and a light dry woodiness. Ultra light and extremely refreshing.
This was a perfect marriage of the right barrel with the right beer.
