Inspired by the German tradition of serving Berliner Weisse style beer with a shot of fruit juice, Blueberry Yuzu Fierce is a fresh twist on our acidic wheat beer. Pumped with blueberry juice, it pours deep ruby red and has all the notes of blueberry lemonade Italian ice with a cleansing tart finish.
Blueberry Yuzu Fierce is entirely batch soured with our house Lactobacillus strain before being pasteurized and fermented with farmhouse ale yeast. Post fermentation, blueberry, yuzu, and calamansi puree is added to the fermenter for a quick refermentation while maintaining the intense lime and grapefruit characteristics.

I expected to be hit in the face with blueberry and I really wasn't. My first reaction was.... wow this is tart.
Medium carbonation and pleasant enough but I wouldn't reach for it again.
