Gose Style beer with lime juice, strawberry juice and salt.
Pouring cherry blossom pink and bursting with floral wild strawberries aromatics, Strawberry Beer for Tacos pay tribute to the strawberry margarita while remaining distinctly unique. The flavor highlights a touch of lime acidity under a robust strawberry yogurt tang. A saline finish rounds out the nose and concludes yet another Off Color beer to pair perfectly with your taco.

8/3/25 - (Home) (Chicago, Illinois) Can Notes: Purchased a single 16 oz can at Beer on the Wall store temperature on 5/22/25 for $3.98 including tax. Canned 5/8/25, 4.5% ABV, Gose Style Beer with lime juice, strawberry juice, and salt. Fruited, cocktail inspired. Malts: Pils, Flaked Wheat, Wheat, Flaked Oats, Dextrin. Hops: Nugget. Secret Fruit Juices: Strawberry Juice, Lime Juice, Pink Himalayan Salt, Coriander. Brewed and canned by Off Color Brewing, Chicago, Illinois.
Appearance: Poured about 2/3 of the can into a large pilsner glass, yielding a heavily sustained carbonated pink and light brown base, a bright white head that disapates quickly leaving just a light ring around the rim, and bubbles popping without color at the top. Interesting, chalking the pink up to the juices. 4.0
Aroma: Coriander strong, backed gently by lime, strawberry and wheat, in that order. Seems like an OK blend, the aroma strong and sensed upon the can open and pour. 3.75
Taste: Strawberry front and center and it's delicious. Next up a bit of lime and salt. I continue to get the coriander via the aroma, but doesn't translate to the taste, which is fine by me. 4.0
Mouthfeel: More like a virgin or watered down cocktail as this drinks way below ABV. Sweet, but the salt and hops quell excess. Carbonation seen more than felt, faint at best. Strawberry is the star of this show from start to finish. 3.5
Overall: This is a departure from the beers I typically seek, but digging the strawberry juice, though could have used more of the base coming through. This met expectations, and would buy this again and pair with tacos or something similar. 3.75

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly pinkish golden color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like sweet sun-kissed strawberries, tart lemon lime, and some wheat.
The regular Beer for Tacos is a super solid and well-crafted lime gose – the strawberry is a nice update, like a strawberry margarita. It’s not ridiculously strawberry forward, just a little bit of sweetness, with most of the tartness coming through as lime-like instead of berry-like. There’s a hint of brine, some yogurt, a mild tartness, and some very light wheaty flavors.
This is light bodied, extremely drinkable, and refreshing, with a great drinkability.
I really, really like Off Color and wish I had easier access to them.

Pouring more salt in the wounds of the haters of sour ale, Off Color provides a classic Germany wheat ale with the additions of limes an salted strawberry for a unique spin on traditional Goslar specialty ale.
Strawberry Beer For Tacos hits the glass with a hazy and burnt bronze appearance with steady bubbles to fuel a short and quick white froth. As the scent of berry and citrus align on the nose, so does elements of lemonade, sea air, saltwater taffy and fresh dough. As its moderate sweetness creeps onto the tongue, the taste is highlighted with sourdough. fruit sugars and a hint of agave. Sourness steels the show as its brisk acidity that brings out even more citrus of lime, lemon, green apple, gooseberry and passionfruit before a rounded and salty finish.
Medium bodied and playfully salty, the gose is refreshing and fruity. Think of its a a beer flavored gatorade.

Released 5/16/25; drank 5/24/25 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange/pink appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, LOUD off-white head which quickly dissipated; minimal lacing remained.
Strawberry, tart lime & faint salt notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Nice strawberry flavor up front; mildly tart lime & sharp salt notes on the finish.
This is what it portends to be; a salty gose with lime & strawberry. It's a bit sharp & tart for me, but I can't fault the brewers. I knew what I was getting into.
