Off tap in a beer glass. Nice amber to copper color with a small amount of foam. Had a pleasant and a bit bitey taste as I'd expect an APA to have. Middle of the road ale. Nice taste but nothing really stood out. I'd like to go back and sample a few of their other beers as well. Not at all a bad beer; just didn't stand out too much. Paired well with pub style food.

A: Pours a clear amber/copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint golden yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy white head that very slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of slightly sweet caramel malts with light to moderate aromas of herbal and citrus/grapefruit zest hops. Something almost powdery in the finish of the aroma.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of grainy and caramel malts with a light amount of light fruit (green apple) sweetness. That is followed by a light to moderate combination of herbal, floral, and citrus/grapefruit hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades quickly. Hints of something powdery and almost paste-like.
M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Not a bad beer but not a beer that stands out in the style or the state (lots of breweries in NC doing better APAs). Nothing offensive about the beer but it is just not interesting or exciting.

Bought at Brawley's, in Charlotte, NC. 22 oz bottle into an Allagash tulip glass
A: Amber color with long lasting head
S: Mild hops, some malts
T: Very mild; not much in the way of hops; weird aftertaste - styrofoamish
M: Lightly carbonated; mild bite to tip of tongue
O: Meh, decent, but won't be revisiting.
