I recently stopped in at Area 51 since I was in the area on business. It's a fairly small unit in a business park with the brewing equipment taking up most of the space and a small tasting area. Obviously, this place is all about the alien theme. The owner/brewer was pouring and he was friendly and answered my questions about the beer. The quality of the beers was OK but they are served in plastic cups. They only had 4 out of 6 beers available, so there wasn't a lot to choose from. They sell tasters, full pours, and growlers. Prices were pretty cheap compared to other breweries in the area. Overall, this is an interesting place but the beers aren't all that good.

Recently did a quick tour of some of the CA Inland Empire breweries in the Riverside area. This was the 2nd stop on the list. The tasting room was nice; somewhat typical of small industrial park microbreweries. Free popcorn! :-) The beer server was a good guy, very attentive and friendly. Their selection of beers was on the smaller side (5 total...) for what's typical, but that's not always bad. What they served was good. Their IPAs were sound and tastey west coast style IPAs. Their American ale was very sound and clean. I really enjoyed their Planet Red hef and their Deep Space oak aged porter.

Fun place to visit and enjoy some brews and watch the space ships come and go.
