On tap at Fifty Seven Degrees. Very dark and near black in the pint shaker. Pleasant foam and nicely spritzy on the tongue. Modest aroma of roasted barley.

Quite rich without being unctuous. Great mix of roasted malt with just a touch of burnt barley. Chocolate flavors with a smooth and mellow maltiness. Slightly winey, as brews in this style often taste to me, along with a chalky sensation.

Perfectly drinkable and thirst quenching. The persistent sweet tang and the hint of orange also add to the pleasure. This is the only On the Tracks brew I've seen in San Diego, but I'll add this to the places to pay a visit.
