This beer fuses two classic winter ales, the winter warmer of the Northwest, and the Wee Heavy strong ale of Scotland. It all begins with 100% Organic British Pale malt; the potent first running’s from the sparge were boiled down to caramelize them in the kettle, adding a nice hop-candy type of profile to the beer. After the single malt, we added a single hop variety, Centennial, in multiple additions including dry hopping. It is fermented with a Scottish style ale yeast which adds a pleasant fruity character and leaves a nice balance of malt and hops. Keep warm this winter from the inside out!

I categorized this as they did, a Winter Warmer, all though in truth it beers no more resemblence to that then it does it thier description as a merger between a wee heavy and a NW winter warmer. It's really just a delicous IPA.
Gold, white skim.
Herbal, citrus hop nose.
Taste is pretty heavy on the fruity esters, with plenty of hops to back it up. The malt is tasty, the quality shows, but certainly not what I would describe as malty - although that suits my taste in IPAs anyways so it works out for me!
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied, slippery, a nice silkiness.
Drinkability is pretty high, very nice beer. But I can't see how this is what they intended...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
