Small Axe is a tribute to the independent small entities in this big boy world. Supporting small scale independently owned farmers, producers, and retailers is at the heart of Agrarian's ethos, and this brew was made with this mindset. Using organic roasted and flaked barley and our own Goldings hops, we ferment this roasty smooth stout with an old school yeast strain straight from the Isles. Small Axe has a creamy, coffee like smoothness backed by a moderate hop bitterness and hop aroma. If you are the big tree, we are the small axe!
