Bright and powerful, this crisp and dry Belgian blonde is full of subtle fruity flavors from a significant honey addition, made from bee hives on our farm! This beer pairs amazingly with fresh fruit; berries, cherries, peaches, melon. Find your local fruit farmer or venture to the farmers market to celebrate the season’s bounty and give a toast to those hard working honeybees!

On tap at the National Taphouse the other day. The menu describes this as a Belgian Blond style beer, made with honey, but as that's not an option under beer styles, I went with a Belgian pale ale.

The beer pours a striking gold color with good head retention and considereable lacing. The nose is pretty enticing, with the honey (turnip honey, whatever that is) very promiment on the nose. There's also some light vanilla, clove and dry citrus that I'm picking up as well. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, with the beer displaying a fairly long, dry hoppy finish (which seems to be fairly typical with the Belgian style beers made at Agrarian - the brewer clearly likes his hops). So while the beer does have some modest, moderate sweetness, the hoppy bitterness dries things out very nicely on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, with a long, lightly bitter finish. Alcohol was well integrated into the flavor profile (I think it was in the 6% or 7% range, if memory serves), and drinkability was terrific. My pint was gone before I knew it.

Very nice beer from Agrarian, and one I would certainly order again.
