From a can. Pours a deep black with 2 fingers of thick rocky tan foam. The nose is roasted barley and lots of coffee. The flavor is almost entirely coffee with a little bit of hop bitterness and malt roastiness in the background. Medium-full bodied smooth. A solid coffee stout.

A black beer with a tan head that persists for some time.
Aroma of roasted malt and coffee.
Taste of espresso coffee, along with some sweet vanilla.
A little light in the mouth.

Received a can from a friend at the neighborhood beer tasting event on 6-19-21. Canned on 11-19-20; consumed 6-23-21.

Beer poured black with a gorgeous tan head that has some major hang time.

Nose is very nice, full of roasted coffee still even after 7 months in a can.

Taste is a nicely sweetened malt base from the lactose addition that is balanced nicely by a strong roasted coffee adjunct.

Mouthfeel is light bodied, thinner than hoped which does not provided silky-smoothness i appreciate with the base style.

Overall a really likable stout that one can enjoy several in a session. Would have again.

 

 

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had bold dark roast coffee notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark roast malt and coffee highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Appears dark brown almost black. Head dropped quickly, nice lacing.
Smells like coffee and malt.
Smells like strong dark roasted coffee.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is creamy and medium for the style.
Overall a good example of a coffee milk stout. I'd definitely have another one.
