Kicking off summer with a crisp and clean palate, the "session" IPA makes their way into the Hi-Wire rotation with a citrusy, grassy and dry beer that's sure to beat the North Carolina heat.
Pale gold and moderately hazy, the beer pours with an arid honeycomb froth. Its scent rife with citrusy perfume, grassy undertones and a light bread and herb medley. Its taste is delicate of honey, simple sweetness and faint caramel with a light wafer sweetness.
The middle palate is short and sweet... er, dry. Its citrusy upstart is of grapefruit, orange and lemon before trending grassy and herbal in the beer's quick closure. Lemongrass, muddled pine needle and an overall fresh grassiness adorns the beer's final frame.
Light in body, the beer's quick and dry action strips the thirst with ease. Its abundant carbonation lifts the beer and ushers in a fast-fleeting finish while highlighting the beer's spicy and herbal hop bitterness with a brisk minerally taste. Still, the IPA trends bitter late, deep into aftertaste with citrus peel and pine.
