12 oz can from Asheville with a 19 December 2019 canning date stamp on the bottom.
Pours with a hazy pale amber body with a decent white head.
The aroma is so dank, despite some fruity notes, that it takes on a burnt rubber character.
The uninviting aspects of the aroma barely carry over to the flavor where there is more citrus.

Really nice IPA. The taste is the best part but it’s followed closely by the smell it’s almost a 4 but couldn’t bring myself to do it. I would definitely get again given the opportunity.

Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a one inch white head that left spotty lacing. Smells of citrus and pine. Tastes of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, lemon, grass and pine. Light bodied, well carbonated, mild bitterness, crisp and refreshing.

12 FL OZ can
Served in an IPA glass

This beer pours yellow and slightly hazy. It is topped with several inches of off white head that leaves spotty lacing.

It has a light citrus aroma with some grapefruit being the focal point.

The taste matches the aroma. I get light citrus. It drinks almost like a "session" IPA but with a little more to it than those watered down versions of IPAs.

Light to medium bodies with a creamy mouthfeel

This is a decent, easy drinking IPA. It is much better than Hi-Pitch.

3.75 across the board, boring but that's where I am at. Above average but not outstanding.hazy yellow pour with minimal head. Smell and taste are both hoppy and citrusy. Mouthfeel and aftertaste follow.

Hi-Wire switched to cans recently. I picked up a 6 pack of them for $9.99.

Poured light golden, hazy, average head dissipating into cloudy lacing.

Hops and juicy citrus on the nose. The smell reminds me the Hazy New England style IPAs I've been drinking recently, but the taste doesn't. It's very light body with a fizzy prickly mouth feel.

Delivers a pleasant bitter flavor with excellent chuggability. Lo-Pitch tastes well enough that I don't want to slam them, but I totally could. 4.9% ABV isn't shabby for how light it is.

This is more of an old school, lighter West Coast IPA than a juicy one, mostly bitter and grassy with light accents of citrus. Easy drinking but I'd rather have a pilsener.

Pours an effervescent gold with a thumb of pearl colored head. sheets of lacing, very nice head retention

S: Oranges, breadyness

T: Follows the nose, grassy, dry with a little lime. A little mango sneaks in as this warms, along with tangerine & lime, plus a little bready dryness. Finishes with a little lime, tangerine, dryness & just a little grassyness

MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, good balance

Not the juciest IPA around, but drinkable enough

Pours a super light straw yellow with thin but persistent white head and mild haziness.
Smell is what is sort of becoming the typical juicy ipa, vaguely tropical nose. The sweeter citrus and overripe melon dominate.
Taste is watered down citrus juice and hints of honeydew melon. hints of pear and loquat/cumquat light breadiness in the back ground.
mouthfeel is nice and light, oddly less watery than the taste. Very sessionable.
Overall this is a nice enough session IPA, the wateriness goes better with the sweeter flavor than it does with the bitter hop flavors. Not really something I would seek out though

Lo-Pitch Juicy IPA | Hi-Wire Brewing. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this has a two finger thick head, lateral lacing, and a hazed deep gold body.

Smells like tropical fruits and juicy hops with a cracker malt base.

The taste is similar, with the hops coming in more bitter than I thought just from taking a whiff. Which isn't a bad thing.

Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

I'll choose to rate Lo-Pitch Juicy IPA | Hi-Wire Brewing with a 4.25

Color is cloudy with a white head. Lacing is decent. Nose was ‘low’, coincidence, I think not. Taste was VERY light and almost non existent. After taste was more than initial taste, presumably because the taste buds toward the back of tongue. Ok beer.

I got this off the single shelf at my local Giant Eagle. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter citrus finish. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

I had this brew on tap at a recent blues show in Durham, NC. Nice citrusy aroma with a just a tiny hint of pine. Eady drinking, not-to-heavy IPA that is a bit sweeter than my normal IPA's, but this is the new haze craze. Overall, I would have it again....in fact I grabbed a 6 at Lowes Foods today.

Serviceable, sessionable and still flavorful, the Hi-Wire beer makers put this light bodied IPA on a tee.

Lo-Pitch is billed as a juicy IPA that employs a sexy array of hops to sell a bold citrus aroma when compared to its gravity. Pale gold, the beer sheds a light amber hue before divulging its caramelized malts, mild toast and nutty influences in a granola-like flavor that skirts across the early palate.

Growing bitterness soon commands the middle palate as the taste of pink grapefruit, orange and a kiss of lemon takes over the fleeting sweetness and takes the tastebuds in a decidedly bitter direction. Dry pine, fresh grassiness and a tea-like verbena bite sells the hops strong as the late palate certainly appeases the hop heads.

Medium light in body, the beer's dry maltiness adds just enough character to support the sharpness of hops. A quick linger of citrus and caramel dies off shortly while the dry hop resins play into a medium long, drying aftertaste.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/16/2017. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy pale golden/straw yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, melon, berry, citrus zest, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, melon, berry, citrus zest, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, melon, berry, citrus zest, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors lingering after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an excellent session IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV, never watery feeling. Nicely juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops; with a great balancing bready malt backbone. A very enjoyable offering. One of the better session IPAs I have had, very well made.

This tastes like I expected the hi-pitch to taste. I should have read the label - it was a bit of a surprise.

It looks amazing. Bright yellow. The aroma is a great skunky smell. The taste is hoppy and bitter with malts missing in action, The aftertaste is bitter but clean.

This is a low alcohol brew with loads of bitter taste. Recommended.

Lo-Pitch Juicy IPA by Hi-Wire...I figured this would be a great intro ipa, since it has lower ibu (35) .

Straight home from the store, poured a pale, cloudy lemonade straw color, with nice thick head, that lasts nicely while awesome grapefruit, evergreen, herbal, chive, kumquat, papaya, and garden freshness aromas fill the air...very interesting and fresh smells....very refreshing/clean...lots of great lacing on my generic tumbler...faint malt in the background.

Taste - Refreshing, light, medium to light clean feel, perfect carbonation level. A thirst quenching brew that follows the nose. Nearing the end, the malts come out nicely. It is balanced like a dog with a tuba on tight rope!

Clean and dry finish that makes the drinker want more....totally what I was looking for in an easy IPA!

Interesting combination of hops in this, and highly recommended. Dig the 4.9 abv!!

A: Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate amounts of lemon yellow + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film and a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange, herbal, spicy, and dank resinous hops over of the top of light aromas of biscuit malts with a hint of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit malts with a very light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, juicy citrus/orange, citrus/orange zest, herbal, spicy, and dank resinous hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp initially with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and very enjoyable - I could easily have a couple of these and I think I will grab some more of these the next time I come across them at the store (perfect for the warm spring here in NC).

12 oz bottle poured into an IPA glass, code 0526122816. A semi hazy light golden yellow with a two finger fluffy white head. Active carbonation. Good retention. The smell starts of as strong grapefruit, some onion, and lemon/pine. The taste is light biscuit, pine, and lemon. The feel is fairly light, carbonation medium. Overall, I can see this filling the need for when a session IPA is needed. Light, clean, ad crisp.
