Color is typical and no head to speak of. Nose was a bit skunky. Luckily the taste was not skunky. Good clean tasting ipa. Would buy again and recommend as a fair priced option.

a really nice glass of ipa here, and just different enough to really stand out to me. i loved all the hoppy stuff here at hi-wire, they have a good thing going with them, thats for sure. this one works some oats into the mash, yet it is still crystal clear, not as hazy as oats usually mean for an ipa type, they soften and pick up the feel of this a little bid, giving it rounder edges than a lot of these have and a little more for the hops to cling to, a great element of this recipe for sure! the hops are tropical tasting, citrus and pineapple and even mango, oily and west coasty, a flash sweet in the middle but dry by the end of it, and with more bitterness than many of their others had, without being so much so that it limit drinkability. really fresh to me, nothing overly unique in the hop profile, but well layered in and well dosed. a very well made ipa overall with a ton of life in the glass and an awesome mouthfeel. these guys are making some killer ipa types right now, some of the best i had anywhere around asheville...
