Having just returned from Asheville, this is a well-known brewer and their beers have been available in my area for quite some time ... I've always found their beers to be pretty good but not great ... This beer falls firmly and squarely into that category ..

pours an absolutely lovely light straw like yellow with just that touch of haze that doesn't cross into the straight soupy territory and a thin white head.
smell is bright citrus and lemon peel, sweet melon and berries, very pungent and enticing.
taste leans toward the melon and some berry, some nice touch of creaminess that gives it a sorta push pop finish.
mouthfeel is real light for the style, but is very soft and pleasant. Very very drinkable, something i could certainly session.
Overall this is a really nice tasty beer. Seems like it strikes a great balance with the creamy fruity thing without becoming a smoothie. I'll go another round if I see it.

16oz can - &&&&&&&&&&&&!

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some campfire signal pattern lace around the glass as it very lazily recedes.

It smells of muddled tropical fruit, bready and doughy cereal malt, further orange and tangerine citrus flesh, honeyed biscuits, some stoney flintiness, and more leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, exotic fruit (pineapple, papaya, and guava), more mixed domestic citrus rind, a damp minerality, and more herbal, leafy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly tame in its palate-pleasing frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and actually quite smooth, with a nice airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a bit by this point in the game. It finishes off-dry, the malt and mixed frooty esters having a ball in the lingering state.

Overall - well, despite the abuse of ampersands, this one's name is truly apt. It is indeed hazy, juicy, hoppy, and yes, fresh. A very enjoyable and quaffable tipple, and if not for the steep American import pricing, I would definitely get another, but, y'know.

Pours an effervescent & hazed gold with a thumb of rocky head. Never completely clears, good head retention & better lacing

S: Tons of oranges, a little breadyness, fades as it warms

T: Mango, papaya, oranges and dryness up front. A touch of grapefruit pith, oranges and dryness as this warms, plus a little mango, Finishes with grapefruit, oranges & dryness

MF: Medium body, delicate carbonation, superb balance

Such an easy drinker, this beer delivers the citrus & tropical flavor

A: Pours a hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + amber colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/white grapefruit, citrus/pink grapefruit, citrus/tangerine, tropical/papaya, tropical/passionfruit, herbal, and spicy hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of bready + cereal grain malts with a light to moderate amount of honey sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of bready + cereal grain malts with a light to moderate amount of honey sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of citrus/white grapefruit, citrus/pink grapefruit, citrus/tangerine, tropical/papaya, tropical/passionfruit, herbal, and spicy hops which imparts a light amount of bitterness which slowly fades away leaving lingering herbal + citrus pith hops flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a nice hop profile, crisp + dry mouthfeel, and some light bitterness - kind of a cross between a NE IPA and a West Coast IPA. Could definitely have a couple more of these.

Pulling out the child-like wonderment in hop heads near and far, the combination of Azacca, Mosaic and Amarillo hops have us stuttering all over ourselves trying to get the words out that accurately describe the taste in Hi-Wire's uniquely built New England styled IPA.

Hazy&Juicy&Hoppy&Fresh is much more than just a run-on sentence. Its a pale golden ale that's cast in a matte haze. As a creamy eggshell froth builds, its citursy and herbal perfume captures a bright, fresh and botanical drift that's as curious as it is captivating. Lightly tasted and moderately sweet, a light croissant and cashew flavor accompanies a pep of honey and poundcake early and often on the palate.

But the real show begins as the hops explode on the middle palate, unleashing all of its fruity and herbal goodness while simultaneously pushing the malt to merely a supportive role. White and pink grapefruit mingle with under ripened tangelos before embarking on a tropical medley of green papaya, passionfruit and gooseberry. Trending smoothly bitter with spicy wood aromatics, the brightness of freshly shaven spruce, lemon verbena and green tea frame a peppery hop late palate with a nudge toward, chive, hemp and gin.

Medium bodied and finishing both spicy and bitter, the dryness of the beer aids in its drinkability late but tempers the style's tendency toward juiciness and smoothness. A lack of creaminess has the ale pointing slightly in a west coast direction even as its medium long linger of peppery bitterness and gin-like spice crispens the taste into a highly drinkable and pleasant session.
