The high ABV takes away from the dry champagne style intended. It’s just a dry double IPA. 3.5

A - cloudy fades yellow pour. 3.25

T - malty, moderate herbal bitterness. 3.75

MF - medium bodied with a dry finish. 3.75

Pours into an impy nonic a bright golden with a slight tinge of burnt orange,a fluffy full finger white head that leaves multiple rings of broken lace behind as it settles into a frothy mass.Bright is also a good adjective for the aromas, citrusy and slightly floral, just good fruitiness without all the sugar. The palate starts out with a good shot of citric hops than a full on dry herbal-like finish, immensely drinkable.I like the Brut styie the NEIPA style has its momenst for me but there are too many bad ones out there and way too many are too sweet. This style is a great alternative and this is a good one.

Canned 11/9/18, poured into a teku glass.

First brut ipa for me.

Pours a golden honey color, hazy, with a nice pillowy cream colored head with great retention. There is some lacing along the sides of the glass. Effervescent. Great looking beer!

The aroma is all hops. There is a lot of citrus fruit: orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine. There is some herbal/grassyness.

Flavor follows suit, very hop hop forward. Lots of citrus, a little grassyness. Low bitterness and no sweetness. The flavor lingers on the palate longer than expected.

The body is medium, high carbonation, semi dry finish.

I enjoyed this beer quite a bit and would purchase it again.

Pours a very effervescent gold with 2 fingers of rocky ivory colored head. Hazes a bit as the can is drained, pretty good head retention & average lacing

S: Grassy, bready

T: Peach, mango, grassyness & dryness up front, plus a little lime. Dryness & leafy hops dominate as this warms, a little pears as well. Finishes dry with leafy hops & white grape

MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, decent balance

Probably the best example of what this style aspires to I've had. Not totally in my wheelhouse, but pretty drinkable

One of the better brut I've had. Slight hoppiness, light and effervescent. Very crushable.

16 ounce can, canned on 11/12/18. Served in a DFH Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a hazy gold color with about an inch and a half white head that stayed around for a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like citrusy hops (tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit), along with some bready/grainy malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some champagne and floral flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it has a good amount of carbonation along with a dry finish. I thought this was a good enough brew, have to say I'm not big on Brut IPA's (yet) but this was worth a try! $13.99 a 4-pack.

A: Pours a lightly hazy medium bright golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale burnt orange + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy very light beige head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized finger thick cap surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tropical/mango, tropical/guava, floral, and citrus/orange hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + wheat malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness and a moderate aroma of champagne-like yeast.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit + wheat malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of champagne-like yeast. Finally there is a slightly stronger than moderate flavor of tropical/mango, tropical/guava, floral, and citrus/orange hops and light flavors of slightly spicy hops. There is a light amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving a lingering champagne-like yeast character and lots of dryness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Pretty easy to drink with well hidden alcohol though this is the most champagne-y Brut IPA that I have tried (and I'm not a huge champagne fan). Very dry and lots of mango. Not sure I would grab this one again as I like a little more juiciness upfront in my Brut IPAs.

Different....much drier than the juice bombs that are all the rage... definitely getting the champagne vibe from this. I don't like champagne... I like this... aromas of citrusy juicy hops and the first few seconds of the sip follow along nicely and then... who pulled the rug out from under me? Like a ghost... the juice is gone...swirling away into a bone dry slightly boozy finish...

Unusual and something I enjoyed more than I thought I would after the first few sips... I can see the appeal here... its new... its exciting... its different....

Pick it up and give it a go if you see it...

Pours a translucent golden straw, thick white head that lingers and laces.
Smell is strongly reminiscent of tropical fruits, i get some guava, some persimmon, some of the sweeter citrus.
Taste leads with similarly tropical notes with a bit of caramel, there are also bitter/spicy notes, hints of ginger and citrus peel. The taste is extremely clean and dry but the whole thing doesn't quite come together as coherent as they could.
The mouthfeel is pretty proper for the style, i think, hard to judge on such a new style that seems to be mostly defined by the feel. It is clean and crisp and leaves little to nothing on the tongue. Very pleasant for such a flavorful beer to have such a light body.
Overall I think this is not an exemplary version of the style but i still find it wonderfully enjoyable. Lots of delicious hop flavors and a pleasantly crisp body.

Slightly foggy pale yellow with a thick white lumpy blanket that slowly settles to a thin film with a creamy collar leaving thick chunky walls of lace on the glass.

Smell is light mango juice with a touch of ruggy vegetal hop.

Unfortunately the first thing that comes to mind when I taste this is hairspray. I still get the mango with a bit of eucalyptus but there's a significant floral note that takes this in an unfortunate direction. But I'm not too surprised as this "style" is kind of a joke, at least in regards to all the ones I've had so far.

The medium-light body has a moderate, soft carbonation before a tingly semi-wet finish.
