A solid hazy IPA from these two breweries.

In the world of hazy IPAs, this one falls squarely in the "good" category...

Hits all the marks for the style... hazy, juicy, bitterness is minimal...

That being said, it doesnt necessarily stand out.. I like the beer and would buy it again... as an everyday drinker.. as a one off or collab brew... it's just ok...

12 ounce can, part of the Hi-Wire Variety 12-Pack - $17.99 at Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.

CANNED ON 01/04/19.

Appearance: Pours a thoroughly hazed, dimmed yellow body with a smallish, stray, whitish head.

Smell: A spicy, perfumy nose yielding notes of lime rind, mango-melon, peach and bitter, resiny herbs.

Taste: Predominately, a mixture of modern hop flavors - plenty of melon, tropical fruits. Some citrus, stone fruit and resinous herbs. The base of grain underneath is rather subdued. Moderately bitter, though it's tempered, even mollified by the lactose and the smooth, softening tones of wheat. Sustained (possibly raw) wheat quality on the tangy, fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel from the addition of lactose.

Overall: A fairly solid, wholly whelming 'current' IPA.

The appearance is NE style. It’s both bright and pale yellow at the same time with some haze. Not opaque, more translucent with minimal haze. Big lacing and moderate white head. The scent also seems more NE style, tropical is the first word that comes to mind. Pineapple, grapefruit, maybe even some peach, all kinds of tropical fruits dominate the scent which is pleasing. Taste is more of the same, up front anyway. On the back end there is some piney, resinous dryness which brings the WC style into play for the first time. It’s on the thin side of medium but never watery and a little sticky. Overall a nice splice both coast IPA styles, will enjoy the rest of the crowler, possibly with some friends later. Hiding in the background is my next NBS beer if I have time before my company arrives.

Am amazing fruity IPA. Growler. Very heavy notes of citrus fruit and floral.
