12 ounce can, part of the Hi-Wire Variety 12-Pack - $17.99 at Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.
PACKAGED 01/09/19.
Appearance: Pours a darkened gold body with a marked amount of particulate matter. The head, rather thin, is short-lived as well.
Smell: Chiefly coffee on the nose supported by some stale, dried loaf bread. A deeper sniff reveals some of the lighten vanilla and cinnamon accents. As it warms, you begin to glean a slight vegetal, bell pepper-like note from the coffee.
Taste: A firm, firmly bready blonde bolstered with roasty coffee. As with the aroma, it's primarily the coffee here now in the flavor, and, like the nose, you get much less of the additional supporting cast of brunch-like characters. Additionally, as it takes on some of the surrounding ambient warmth, I note a touch of bell pepper. The lack of suds makes for a fairly flat finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Fairly low carbonation. A touch of smoothness to the overall mouthfeel by way of the lactose inclusion.
Overall: Blonde/golden/white stouts, I find they aren't exactly easy to execute. Even a gimmicky style laden with adjuncts takes great thought and care to pull off. In this case, it's just a relatively flat, underwhelming blonde with a handful of coffee beans.

L- Golden like a nice pilsner. Not cloudy but a lot of particulates in the beer. Head fell almost immediately. Maybe because of oils from the other ingredients that give the roasty flavors?
S- Light mild stout smell. Lactose sweetness. Very clean.
T- the roastiness is very nicely balanced with hop bitterness. A hint of cinnamon but very faint. In fact the vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon hide pretty darn well.
F- Full mouth feel, creamy. I think the lactose plays great here.
O- I'm not a huge fan of strange styles or added ingredients. This beer surprised me, I really, really like it. I got this in a collaboration 12pk and thought 2 out of 3 styles would be good but I really like all 3 including this one. Very well done and btw, this is my first Golden stout so I didn't know what to expect.
