Hmm just showed up in my town 4 months late it seems, picked it up anyway as High-Wire is great usually.
Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a nice two finger white head that falls slow and laces well.
Aroma is semi sweet malty and grainy blended together well almost a honey like sweetness. Hops are tropical fruity with just a dash on more lemon like citrus.
Taste is like the nose nice semi sweet malt base smooth only lightly corny a nice malt base kind of makes the beer. Hops are probably not as bright as when fresh but still good fruity with only a light citrus bite of bitterness. So smooth and favorable and easy drinking.
Mouthfeel is lighter medium with pretty medium level of carbonation.
Overall I like it, might of liked it even more fresher.

First, the good news. These folks at Hi-Wire in Asheville are doing collabs that border on alchemy. This one, a collab with Homeplace Beer Co., produces one of the most unique, silky-smooth beers you'll find. If you're looking for a haze/juice bomb, go elsewhere. But if you like an IPA that is malt-forward, crystal clear, brewed on red corn and Riverbend malted corn, then try to find this. Amarillo, Eureka and Wakatu hops lend VERY subtle flavors that just dance tantalizingly across that unique, delicious malt backbone. A sweetish nose yields to a smooth, pleasant almost creamy mouthfeel with a pleasant, though not off-putting, dankness and a delightful semi-bitter finish. Citrus and tropical notes abound here as well, and at only 6%ABV, it's sessionable--for me, anyway. The bad news is that, as it's a collab, finding it may be difficult, if not impossible. Once again, a tip of the hat to Asheville's Laura Greb for a solid score.

If you're looking for something "juicy" or "hazy" or conditioned on exotic fruit, this beer is not for you. However, if you're in to traditional IPAs with a unique spin, BOLO. This brew features specialty malts and red corn to feed it's magical yeast. With light to moderate bitterness and an interesting, yet easy finish, this beer could be mistaken for an ESB or even a Vienna Lager. Very tasty! Wish I bought the 4 pack instead of a single.
