Collaboration with New Anthem in Wilmington. Pours a dark brown color with a thin beige rim around the glass. Smells like a Fig Newton bar. Smooth body. Dry chocolate malt. Fig note stands out and doesn’t really go with the rest of the beer. If it didn’t say figs on the can, I don’t know that I’d identify the flavor as figs, but it comes across as a bit weird. Drinkable, but I’ll get something else next round.
