Not as complex as I'd like with these two hops but very good. I could go for a little more hop flavor but very good for a hop sampler beer.

As the march of the ampersands roll through the unlimited hop combinations of taste, Hi-Wire Brewing gathers the work of Lotus and Amarillo hops for a citrusy, tropical, smooth fruity taste with a soft herbal backdrop.

Pale gold and held in a translucent matte haze, Hazy&Juicy&Hoppy&Fresh (the Lotus & Amarillo edition) swells with a volumnous ivory froth and a perfumy blend of citrus, tropical, herbal and spicy scents. Underneath it all likes a pastry sweet cereal base laced with pastry, croissant, honey graham, vanilla-like flavors early and fuller on the palate.

And then the full power of the hop tandem unleashes on the middle palate as the malts simmer down and the Amarillo and Lotus blossom upon the tastebuds. The classic flavors of pink grapefruit and peppery resinous flavors of Amarillo rise on the late palate but only after the Lotus delivers a juicy pineapple, gooseberry, creamsicle succulence to the tongue.

Medium full in body, but creamy and smooth throughout, the beer eventually achieves a very late sense of dryness and crispness but only after a smooth bitterness of botanical herbs, spruce, fresh grasses and a sweeter curacao liquor bite that extends in a medium length afterglow.
