Tangy, tropical and tantalizing, Hi-Wire brewing is bringing an exotic fruit flavor to palates near and far while using tangerine, peach and passionfruit that's once again a party for the mouth.
With a same densely packed, heavy translucent pour, a peachy orange color and a frothy cotton-white crown precedes a succulent scent of tropical fruit and citrus for a mouthwatering scent of fruit punch. A creamy and cereal-laden upstart in taste is laced with doughy malts, light pastry sweetness and a roundness of cream candy, taffy and agave.
With the sweetness of cream lurking in the background, the sourness takes control as the tangerine and passionfruit simply blossom with branch-ripened succulence and clean sourness. And in waltzes the peach as it brings its own stone fruit, orchard grown zing. A clean but sharp tartness of lime, cider and grape dance about the peripheries before the ale develops a late taste of tropical punch and sangria.
Medium bodied for sour ale, the fruit sweetness isn't quite enough to distract from the sour, fruity, malty-dry finish for a refreshing, racy but off-dry taste. A medium short aftertaste of tropical fruit, moderate acidity and a hint of burlap come in shallows waves of taste.
