It's a pretty good every man beer. I don't get much chocolate at all. Just a very mild fruited, slightly sour capital B beer.
I personally prefer a more upfront, loud and complicated sour but It's alright, considering the price of $9 for one pint

Feeling the season of love, Hi-Wire graces the wintery holiday with a new and tantalizing sour taste that's layered with raspberry and chocolate, for that romanticized chocolate-dipped after dinner treat.
Sure to get us in the mood Sour Smoothie Raspberry Chocolate pours with a light straw and equally light pinkish-peach hue while floating an eggshell tinted froth that stands tall against at rim. As a quick pass of the nose reveals the promised red berry, tangy, floral and sourdough scents with an undercurrent of light chocolate fudge. Its first sip teases with a crisp wafter maltiness, mild cereal and a hint of honeysuckle.
And as the ale splashes the middle palate, its scant sweetness drifts into the sourness as the stronger attributes of raspberry begins to mingle on the tastebuds. A bold sense of rose wine, cranberry and currant is met with a soothing balance of cocoa to resemble the taste of toosie-rolls. Trending sour, sharp and refreshing, the beer finishes with a sour balance instead of that from hops.
Medium bodied for sour ale, the cocoa influence has the beer celebrating a fuller texture than usual without sacrificing drinkability or refreshment. Perhaps a little watery in the finish, the beer finishes with sourdough, burlap and light chocolatey linger.
