16 ounce can, packaged 02/08/21, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! It's been in the fridge a while so it's my fault I haven't drank it sooner. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a cloudy reddish/brown color with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice but a bit light, the brew smells like cherries, dark berry jam and plums. The taste pretty much follows the aroma, but there's also some blueberry, caramel and earthy flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was OK overall, but maybe I would have liked it fresher. Can't say that it's aged bad though, worth a try if you come across a single can somewhere.

From the 16oz can in a snifter. This interesting little brew pours a
dark and lightly murky mahogany with a nice head of khaki foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin wafting layer, and shows some very nice lacing.
Nose of raspberry, blackberry, and cherry with faint herbal notes amongst
some dark malts. Flavors lightly exceed but are all over the map---medium
dark brown sugars, definite tobacco, dark fruit notes of black, blue, and raspberry,
dark tea elements (as notes by hoptheology), and odd herbal notes of rosemary.
Nice mouth feel; medium light body, light, soft, and subtly effervescent carbonation,
and a medium dry to dry finish.

Overall, more like a hybrid raspberry ale with elements of Belgian dubbel.
It is odd, unique, and a unique hybrid.

Cheers

16 oz single can, from Cottage Hill Package Liquor, paid $4.99 for the can.
Into Urban South Willie.

Has a brownish-mahogany color, with a creamy muddy head of 2 fingers, brownish tint. Lace is left in a thick skirted ring around the glass.

Aroma of chewing tobacco and slight cherry pipe tobacco.

Flavor begins with quite a bit of dark berry presence, and it is somewhat jammy, preserve-like; underneath it are notes of paper, pipe tobacco, smoke, black tea, chamomile, lime, and apple skins. To say this is weird is an understatement. The jam follows through to the finish though, and is its only real positive attribute. I thought this was a sour ale but to my surprise upon cracking the can and reading, it's actually an imperial belgian dark ale.

Feel is creamy and roasty with some acidity in there from the berries. Heat is well hidden and only moderate. Medium bodied. Well-lit carbonation.

Overall, I'm a little more forgiving than most to weird beers, but I'll warn you this is not for the light hearted. Go into this knowing this beer is not accessible and takes some time. It's basically liquefied berry pipe tobacco with cheap spiked tea and a shot of apple whiskey. It tastes like the night life of a dad with children he doesn't care about. It's very weird, but I keep drinking it. I didn't have a bad dad, but my friends did. I feel you, bros.

Wouldn't purchase again though.
