16 ounce can, packaged 03/10/22, another brew from Brutaltruth! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and some burnt/charred malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and coffee flavors noticeable. Not as sweet tasting as I was expecting it to be. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it's a good stout but if you're looking for a sweeter tasting pastry stout then this one might not be for you.

16 oz can served in a tall Pinkus glass. Revisited with another 16 oz can in July 2023.

Appearance. Essentially black and opaque body with an excellent tall and durable beige head.

This has a rich flavor but the ABV seems to be not just obvious but actually exaggerated in both the flavor and the aroma. While the aroma has a suggestion of creme brulee, there's little of this in the flavor where chocolate, coffee, hops, dark roasted grains and other notes overwhelm the vanilla and caramel expected of a creme brulee. Bitter hop notes clash with the sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Full, smooth and somewhat oily but with a touch of alcohol harshness.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent brew pours a dark brownish
black with a thick head of light brown foam that settles to a thick fat ring, thick
clumping layer, and shows some excellent lacing. Nose of subtleties; dark cocoa,
vanilla, light char, light brulee, coffee, and deep roasted goodness. Flavors hit \
their mark---dark chocolate, coffee, brulee, cream, vanilla, char, dark fruit notes
of black and blueberry, and deeply roasted malts. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth,
rich, coating, and finishing sweet without being overly cloying and with a nice
bitter malt finish.

Overall---very solid!

Cheers

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of mocha head that leaves nice lacing.

The smell has chocolate, roasted malt, hints of coffee, custard, and vanilla.

The taste has chocolate, custard, vanilla.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

Pretty good.

Chocolate. Custard. Vanilla. Caramel. Cream. Check all the boxes with Hi-Wire's Creme Brulee spin on their Imperial 10W-40 Stout

Very dark brown and nearly black, Chocolate Crème Brûlée builds a creamy and short froth that carry the prescribed aromas of caramel, cream, vanilla spice and dark chocolate. Sweet with its first sip, the influence of malt is bold early and often with toffee, light molasses, caramel, French vanilla and chocolate.

As the dark and plush ale coats the middle palate, much of the same transpires as a sweeter, more savory and slightly toastier collection of flavors slowly develop toward the beer's end. Slightly bitter with woodsy hops, the beer patiently closes with bittersweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee and candied walnut that skirts above the weakening sweet cream, vanilla and custard-like early flavors.

Full bodied, rounded and sweet, the stout finishes off-cloying with a rich sense of drinkability and a semi-sweet, malty finish. An extension of sweetness outlasts roast to bring that taste of creme brulee home.
