Hazy pineapple. Nice tropical, citrusy and juicy hop, aroma and flavor. Good balance with light to moderate bitterness. Medium bodied with a juicy finish.

16 oz can from Total Wine and More in Short Pump, VA the ale poured a hazy light amber with a white foamy head and ample lacing. The aroma of tropical fruit and hints of pine resin greet you. The flavors are more complex with melon, mixed with pine and pale malts. The ale has a medium body and average carbonation. We toured Hi-Wire many years ago while visiting Asheville, NC

Batch 2888 born on 3/4/24, pours a hazy orange gold with a two finger fluffy white head. A Spieglau IPA glass was used. Tropical citrus notes on the nose. Melon primarily , which carries through to the flavor. Mix in some grains and some pine. Mouthfeel is medium, medium amount of carbonation works well for the beer. If you like flavor that isn’t over powering (and without any hop burn) this is worth a go.

Like a fast ball right down the middle, Hi-Wire brings a strong hop game to the hazy stadium of beer. Piggy backing off of their "Pitch" family, Hazy Pitch is sure to be a home run for all fans of hops.
Pouring a pale and hazy golden-straw glow, the session opens with a frothy and stark white froth and a juicy citrus and tropical fruit scent. Rounded with herb and candied sweetness, the scent soon transitions to a taste of honey, shortbread and cereal.
As its sweet and nearly vanilla-like malts swoon the middle palate, the hops open up with white grapefruit, under ripened orange and hints of lime. With the sweetness gently falling off, the more tropical side of hops reveal passionfruit, papaya, kiwi and dried pineapple. Continuing to develop its taste, the hops trend moderately bitter with green tea, sassafras, verbena and hemp.
Medium bodied, trending light and semi-dry, the ale shows a slightly more bitter grip than most hazy ale, but will be the delight of bitter beer fans who dabble in the fruit and softness of the haze. Crisp, clean and refreshing, Hazy Pitch closes with a medium-long linger of cedar and fruit peel.
