Poured from a 16 oz. can into a New Belgium Globe Glass
The beer pours jet black with no visible highlights, with about one fingers worth of dark tan head that slowly recedes leaving behind a small crown that lasts the duration of the session.
The aroma is a nice mix of roasted malts, coffee, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and a small hint of chocolate and vanilla.
Like the aroma, the flavor is roasted malts, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, coffee, and chocolate. The coffee gets a little lost until the beer starts to warm. Full bodied and moderate/light carbonation, with a creamy mouthfeel.
Overall, the pumpkin spices compliment the base beer well, without overpowering it.

16oz can poured into a goblet
A- pours black in color with a one finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- aroma is a nice bouquet of pumpkin pie spices; cinnamon, nutmeg both noticeable. The base beer provides some roasted notes, as well as chocolate and black licorice. As it warms, coffee emerges , adding some herbal and earthy notes
T- charred malt and bitter chocolate up front are followed by equal parts nutmeg and cinnamon. Mid-palate brings out some espresso notes that gives herbal and earthy coffee roast, perfectly complimenting the spice additions. The finish gives more roast and chocolate notes, with cinnamon, nutmeg and coffee all sticking around on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a slightly warming finish
O- the spices work well with the base beer and the coffee is a perfect compliment. Solid pumpkin beer

Just shy of a fingers worth of insanely dark khaki colored froth... Decent retention... Color is a deep dark brooding mahogany that lets a slight bit of light leak in around the edges... Nose of black coffee and some sweet sugars... Palate is expected with some additional sweet cream notes... Some autumnal spice notes as well... Feel is medium to full bodied... Smooth, slightly chewy and rather sleek... Nice brew, but hard pressed to find the pumpkin... Still quite enjoyable and nicely executed...

Pours a deep black with some dark orange foam. Smell is all spices and a little sweetness, plus some coffee. Very pumpkin spice and heavy on the cinnamon and cloves. Flavor is very rich, tons of coffee in addition to all of the spices. The coffee and spices overshadow the base beer and it's tasty but really seems to be hiding any flavors besides the PSL elements. No sweetness or lactose character and not a ton of complexity, really just an upfront hit of clove and cinnamon then a heavy black coffee note with a burnt malt finish. Feel is good, very smooth and reinforces the spiced coffee feel. Overall a very mid tier fall stout. Would rather have something like Elysian Punkaccino that incorporates pumpkin flavors into the beer and has more character to the base as well. Not awful, just underwhelming.
