The Loaded Cannon is just that....loaded. This is a big beer which is great for sipping. The beer poured a clear rich amber with an initial white head the dissipated into nothing and there was no lacing. The scent was similar to most Belgian style strong ales...ripe dark fruit leaning. The taste was also similar to most Belgian strong ales...with the common Belgian sugar malts. The mouthfeel is full in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a very nice offering by Boston...I feel that the craft brew revolution is in full swing in South Africa and this beer provides another step in the right direction.
