Sampled this at Coops. They had this both on nitro and CO2. I sampled a pint, but no nitro thank you. The pour was mostly an ambler color with good clarity, although was served somewhat warm. Limited lace and head.

The smell was rather limited. Some yeasty nose but rather limited in hops for a IPA. Some floral notes and some caramel esters as well.

That taste was similar with a more balanced flavor then hoppiness. The warmer style let some flavor notes come out more. A definite caramel flavor with notes of crystal and a touch of breadiness. The hops have a good bitterness with a earthy tone and a lighter floral finish.

The body had a mid feel to it. Easy to drink and surprised at the 7.4% ABV. Overall not bad but not really an IPA.

Clear coppery-bronze hue, it was served with a sticky, bright white head of a finger in height, the retention was fantastic as it lasted throughout the entire consumption. It needs to be pointed out that nitrogen was used instead of CO2. There was minimal lacing however. The aromas were pleasant, soft and flowery from the hops, the bouquet says this isn’t a brash American IPA but a subtler traditional version. Behind the flowers were a little earthiness and caramel maltiness. However the nose wasn’t very potent. I was impressed that it was served near room temperature; there was just a slight chill. Even with this help the palate doesn’t really blossom into much flavor, some well rounded earthy-floweriness, the malt is equally soft and restrained. However, it gets very, very sweet and I couldn’t get past this. I honestly didn’t want to finish it; needless to say I didn’t find it very drinkable. Medium-light in body, the nitrogen is noticeable (or the lack of CO2 is) and, at best, the mouthfeel was tolerable. This was a poor IPA really, I’d say skip it.
