Poured a copper color with a thick white head that stuck around and left nice rings of lace.

Aroma was of rich caramel, herbal and earthy hops, some toasted malts, and slight fruity hints.

Some citrus in the background of a honey and caramel backbone. A touch of warm booze and earthy/herbal hop finish.

Nice balance and easy to drink. Smooth and rich.

The Highland Scottish Ale poured a copper-red. It had a thick, creamy light tan head that was very nitro-like. It had excellent retention and laced the glass.

The aroma was some caramel malt and a little fruitiness.

It had a velvety, creamy mouthfeel. The taste was of caramel, toffee and toasted chocolate malt. It had a very subtle hop bitterness - could have used some more.

Overall, this a a nice beer. I probably would have loved this not too long ago. Now, it seems a little too one-sided on the malt side.
