We tried this one with friends Saturday afternoon (many Saturdays ago) at the brewery in Fort Collins. Not sure if this is the same beer as the one brewed 5 years ago. This one was dark, with aromas and flavors of bananas, dark fruits, candi sugar and figs.

On tap at the brewery:
Poured a reddish gold with a nice head of foam that dissipated slowly. Lots of lacing.
The smell was all fruity and yeasty with strong notes of banana and clove.
The taste was fruit dominated....the banana is stronger in this belgian style ale than any other I've ever tried, but there's also clove and yeast tones so it isn't exactly one dimensional. I thought the body was a bit on the thin side but, over all, this is a brew worth trying and I know I'll be sampling it again when I visit this fundamentally sound brew pub.
Bottom line: A brew worth trying in my book!

This ale has lace to dress a mug. Red-tinted brown ale.
Musky malt aroma hovering in a floral field.
Highly carbonated. Lite on the malt kiss, bitter scooter rides right down the middle of the palate spreading a tingling of citrus. Alcohol cuts off a midling of fruit notes, more like a waft of fruit blossoms. The bitterness caught me off-guard. The spicy yeast lingers along with ripe banana.

The Razzmatazz poured a dark reddish golden. It had a creamy white head that went to a thin film and laced the glass.
The aroma was spicy hops, yeast, and a subtle fruitiness and bananas.
The flavor was spices, bananas and yeast with a bitter Saaz hop finish. It had a good malt backbone. It had a little acidic citrus. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, it was a decent Belgian. Too much bananas for my taste.
