I sampled this brew with dinner with a crew of folks. I grabbed this beer while waiting for a table. The beer is served in a weizen glass (no fruit) and is fairly cold.
The brew is a rich mahogany color fairly clear for a dunkelweizen with a creamy 1 cm off white head that recedes to a surface layer throughout the sampling. Aroma is clove heavy with some citrus and general fruit and caramel mixing nicely.
First sip reveals a fine tingly carbonation and average body with smooth texture. Flavor starts with sweet chocolate and caramel rolls to some cloves and a bit of peppery spiciness too. The flavor lingers a bit and is pleasant. No real hint of ABV or hops. An easy drinkin beer from a great brewpub!
