A 330ml bottle with a BB of April 2014. ABV is stated as 4%. Acquired some time back from Trembling Madness in York. From what I can make out, the label describes it as an artisanal blonde beer.
Poured into a straight pint glass. Bottle conditioned and highly carbonated; it produces a ridiculously massive head of foam that fills the glass. About 10 minutes were needed to pour it completely. A very hazy pale-gold colour with tons of fine sediment. Slight lacing. Aroma of intensely earthy yeast, faint light malt, a twinge of grain, vague fruitiness, green apples, solvent and cardboard. Rather harsh - not good.
Tastes of weak malt and plentiful yeast, with a bone-dry finish. Notes of earthy yeast, faint light malt, husks, green apples, vague fruitiness, solvent and cardboard. Highly attenuated, followed by a mild bitterness upon swallowing. Acrid and unpleasant. Mouthfeel is tingly and dry, with prickly carbonation and an insubstantial body. Pretty astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of harsh earthy yeast, green apples/solvent and cardboard.
Yuck - not particularly pleasant. It looks overcarbed, while the aroma and flavour are very yeasty and peppered by nasty off-notes. Lacklustre body. This simply isn't an enjoyable brew. It might be a bit too old and over-attenuated, and the green apple hints at dead yeast in the bottle. I might try a fresher example if I ever come across it again, but based on this experience I would recommend steering well clear.

Quite dark orange color, hazy. Decent white head.
Malty, and banal, smell. Some grassy hop. A bit raw.
Quite yeasty in the mouth, quite heavy, with some green apple.
Malty aftertaste, not elegant, with some grassy hop.
Raw, unfinished, not too interesting.
