Had this on nitro at Burkes in Crystal River Florida.
James, owner, said he switched it to nitro after it exhibited no head on CO2. Good choice IMO. Consequently a light tan head lasted the entire duration of my enjoying it.
The pour is dark brown and clear. Smell is to specs sans the intensity...you have to take a deep breath to extract the aroma.
There is some heat, but the alcohol is hidden quite well. Bitterness is noticeable but underwhelming. Hops exist in moderation.
Tastewise, it's frontend is a tad chewy and a tad sweet, but it fades quickly into a pretty doggone smooth malty finish. A friend of mine sensed some chocolate notes while I leaned towards a hints of caramel.
Being on nitro I believe I was treated to best this beer can be. I would have another.
