Poured from a crowler into a glass. '6.5% ALC/VOL', 'PKGD 09/18/2017', 'WET HOP'.
Hazy, orange body, white foamy head settling into a long lasting cap, moderate lacing, white sediment flakes at bottom of glass.
Not much aroma, what comes through are citrus hops.
Very little bitterness in the taste, but lingering wet hops stay at the end.
Brew coats the mouth, very pleasant.
Very easy beer to drink. Will have to compare to other fresh or wet hop beers releasing in fall of 2017.

Trying the 2018 rendition of Hop Tun. Poured from crowler into glass. Filled on '9/24/18'. 6.6%ABV.
Hazy again, no sediment.
Total melon in the aroma and the taste. End of the taste profile has some fresh hop presence (slight burn and drying).
Smooth and citrus drying in mouth feel.
Drinks like a squeezed orange melon. Very enjoyable.
I would rate this as 4.15.

Definitely citrusy on the nose like others have said. Drinking out of a crowler on the go so didn't pour it out. Very easy drinking, especially compared to most IPAs. I think the flavor lends itself to new beer drinkings looking to take a leap of faith into something new. Definitely something you can drink in a decent volume.

Very nice on the citrus and pine from the snifter. Hop Tun is a subdued yet refreshing IPA; in fact, it drinks like a hoppy and balanced, American pale ale. Mild citrus, grapefruit and piney characteristic flavor with hints of wheat in the background. There is a yeasty, bready aftertaste that is unique to the American IPA style. It has a nice dry finish and goes down well. It has a clean mouth feel with little lingering(but bitter) bitterness or sweetness on the palate. Thumbs up and would recommend to taproom friends.

This beer pours a slightly hazy golden wheat color. The nose is citrusy, mostly grapefruit. with a little dankness in the background. Flavor is bracingly and excellently bitter. Dank, earthy notes are more prominent than in the smell, mingling very well with the previously noted citrus characters. What really works about this beer is the way it showcase the complexity of the hops used.
