Bleed Green is a Dry Irish Stout has become an annual St. Patrick's tradition for us. It has plenty of dry-roasted character and roasted malt aromas thanks to the use of roasted barley. Revealing more complexity with each sip, it is defined by notes of coffee & cocoa and its full, dry body.

16oz can. Date stamp on label is 'PKGD 02/22/25'.
Black colored body, with mahogany brown back lit edge. Two fingers of frothy light brown colored head. Not much for lacing, just a few small scattered spots.
Aroma of char, close to smoked meat, roasted malts, with hints of sweeter chocolate and bitter coffee.
Taste is sweet with an ending bitterness. Definitely expresses roasted malts. Flavors of molasses, vanilla, chocolate, coffee - with a slight char sitting on top of all. Aftertaste is lengthy and uses bitterness to good effect.
Medium mouthfeel. Very dry finish, which increases thirstiness. Initial appearance of higher level of carbonation but settles down considerably.
First impression is heavy char but as the glass empties this evolves to sweeter vanilla and cocoa.

Brown tinted black opaque body with a mushroom colored head and spotted lacing. Smells of roasted malt, dark cocoa, slightly smoky earth, light vanilla. Taste is roasted malt and mild cocoa, simple. Thinner than guinness body, smooth and roasty. Solid but would rather have guinness

This beer pours a simple black with a modest sustaining head. The aroma offers up sublte roast notes, as well as a touch of dark chocolate and coffee. The flavor is soft, slightly smokey, with background coffee and burnt toast. The mouthfeel is silky and simple (this was from a beer engine!). Overall this is a lovely dry irish stout, true to style in its simplicity and drinkability.
