To the eye: Absolute blackness, complete opacity, rich brown head, softly drifting down.
In the nose: This one bursts out it's flavors. Peanuts, peanut butter, and all the chocolate comes streaming out.
In the mouth: Whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Big, thick, rich, intense. Incredible. Huge in the peanut butter flavor, immense in the chocolate quotient, and just flat out amazing in the scope of it's imperial stout-ness. Big load of bitterness matches the terrific torrent of sweet. It's a wonderful blend. Very over the top, and doing it's best to knock me out.
I found one crowler of this and when I see another I'm starting my collection. I don't normally give a care about peanut butter beers, and I think it's a trend that should fade soon just as pumpkin beers have. But, this! This....oh, this. Just the right earthy, just enough sweet, and plenty of dark, rich, and delicious. Bittersweet, fantastically full-flavored, and impressive in every way.
Wow, wow, wow what a beer.
Wait, did I use the word delicious yet. If I haven't, I should. Yep. It sure is. Wow, wow....wait, that I know I said.

Poured from 750ml crowler can into glass. Fill date stamped on can as 'NOV 01 2017'. ABV for this batch is hand marked on can as '12.6'.
Black body with tan head that persisted. Spots and webs of lacing on glass.
Strong aroma (evident when can is opened) of dark roasted malts, peanuts, and chocolate. Some alcohol is evident.
Taste is rather sweet, countered by slightly bitter aspect which follows. Lots of darker chocolate and nutty additions. Faint suggestions of vanilla and dark, dried fruit.
Creamy and coating mouth feel, some sting and dryness from the alcohol.
Very tasty high ABV stout with adjuncts. The sweetness goes away as the taste profile progresses.

one of the best adjunct stouts of the year for me and probably the best of the peanut/peanut butter beers i have ever had. its amazing how much natural peanut flavor is in here, it doesnt taste like the powdered peanut butter to me at all, and had a real honest oily nutty aspect to it in the nose and the taste, sweet enough but not overly sugary. inky dark and syrupy thick from the tap, with long legs on the edges of the glass showing its viscosity. lots of chocolate here too, some bitter roasted nib type cocoa, but also a sweeter milk chocolate, a lot like a peanut butter cup, but chocolate is not new to beer, nor is chocolate stout this good uncommon. what is uncommon and new though, is the natural peanut element in here with it, its an incredible flavor fusion, almost doesnt feel like it should be a liquid, these are solid flavors as i know them! the mouthfeel tries to be a solid, thats for sure, this is past dense to almost gummy like peanut butter iself, about as thick a beer as i can recall. whiskey notes in here, light vanilla, creaminess, heaps of chocolate, and a nice bitter dark malt complexion to balance. this is really amazing stuff, my favorite of the three beers i had from these guys, and a new benchmark for peanut flavor in beer. as good as it can get as far as i am concerned. this is next level!!!

Looks is of used motor oil. Very dark. One finger of mocha head quickly disappears leaving a solid cap. Smell is a delicious blend of peanuts, chocolate malts, and alcohol, with some prune and raison coming through. Tastes like it smells. More fresh roasted peanuts and Belgian dark chocolate than a Reese' Peanut Butter Cup. Finish is very dry with just a slight warming in the chest. Mouth feel is as you'd expect from an imperial stout. Velvety, and thick, little carbonation. Overall, a very well made beer perfect for sipping on a cold Autumn night. The peanuts add something different and delicious to this imperial stout.
