Strictly stygian, utterly opaque, slimmed down cocoa-tinged head.
In the nose: Big time richness. All the usual suspects in attendance. Large and in charge cocoa, espresso, charcoal, slight anise. Slight smoke. Very nice.
In the mouth: Boom, Shaka-laka! Huge, fat, rotund richness. Chocolate and coffee, rich malt abounds. Dark fruits aplenty. Cherries, berries, grapes, a bit. Full-on bigness. Massive malt. Huge mouthfeel. Loving the texture.
Uncrushable is right. You need an hour or two with this one.

Poured from a 750ml growler. Canned on 8/2/2017.
Dense black body with no light coming through. Dark tan head, initially pillowy and settling into thin cap, Some lacing.
Wonderful aroma with roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruit, and caramel/vanilla.
Taste of dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, caramel/vanilla, and alcohol burn.
Feel is a complete mouth coat. Even the end of the glass shows a thicker coating, like a melted chocolate caramel.
A very dense stout in all aspects. Totally "uncrushable", but the wonderful taste lingers.

This beer pours a deep black with a large mocha head. The aroma features dark chocolate, licorice, soy sauce, and strong roastiness. The flavor very rich and yet totally dry, with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, light vanilla, and caramel. The mouthfeel is very full and foamy. Overall this is a fantastic, huge stout that lives up to its name. As much as the big, sweet imperial stouts on the market are great, it is lovely to run into a huge, dry monstrosity with a core or rich, bitter flavors.

Inky black, very little head, looks viscous. Smell is roasted malt and sugars, slight coffee. This is a HEAVY beer, toffee, dark fruit, hint of coffee, thick but not cloying. This is a superb beer.
