if milkshake ipa is going to continue to be a thing, and not just a flash in the pan, i want to see more of them like this one! a wonderful take on this fad style from a brewery previously unknown to me. the pineapple in the nose is fresh and forward and beautiful in conjunction with the selected hop varietals, juicy and clean and fresh and not any more sweet than what would be natural to the fruit. same in the taste, and the lactose and vanilla additions, which i am always wary of in hop forward beers, are appropriately dosed, its not sweet but it is creamy, very cool complexion there, and the vanilla tastes as natural as the pineapple does. fuller bodied with these additions, and still bitter in the end, its not just a juicy thing, its also still a real ipa. the pineapple is awesome, i couldnt imagine another fruit working as well as this one does, at least with this blend of hop varietals. usually i am one and done with these, but i found myself never really tiring of this, its that good. well ahead of the rest of its class as far as i am concerned. loved everything i have had from junkyard so far, beers like this are going to put them on the map!

Crowler dated 9/1/17 poured into a pint glass.

Vibrant golden orange color with just under a finger head. Really nice lacing.

Smell is big time pineapple and citrus.

Taste has tons of pineapple, melon, some hop bitterness, grassy pine, and a creamy vanilla flavor. Superb.

Feel is great also. Drinks a tad thicker than most IPAs that are under 7% ABV. Almost like a milkshake one would say??!

Overall an excellent offering. This was one of those beers where for every category I had to decide between a 4.5 or a 4.75 rating.

Poured from a crowler can. Canned on 9/1/2017. Can lists hops as 'FALC/CASCADE'.

Murky, orange color beer with thin white head, with minor lacing.
Smell is tropical fruit, quite aromatic.
Taste is slightly sour grapefruit, but sweet too. Low bitterness for an IPA.
Feel is full and creamy.
A very tasty brew, with tang and sweet combined. Very crushable.

Pours a hazy golden color, Smell is tropical with pineapple and citrus. Taste follows nose very tropical in hops with little bitterness. A thick and juicy ipa with a soft finish, very good.
