Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date stamped on label as '4/23/18'.
Opaque, black colored body. Two finger tan head settles to thick and bubbly cap. Sheets, webs, and spots of lacing.
Aroma is heavy with cinnamon, along with nutty fruit (pecans), and chocolate malt. Vanilla wafts lightly.
Taste also has a lot of cinnamon. The chocolate is also there, but less of a nutty flavor than in the aroma. Has a light vanilla touch. Has a touch of throat burn, could be from the higher %ABV or from the cinnamon, or a combination.
The mouth feel is thick and creamy, but the whole experience is a little harsh. Flavorful and a treat to drink, but is slightly unbalanced (maybe too much cinnamon and not enough vanilla).

Poured from a crowler into a plain old glass. This pours super dark brown almost black with a thick tan head that sticks around and leaves great lacing on the glass. The aroma is vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. Flavor bursts with the cinnamon and the other flavors only come along for the ride. Not that it's a bad thing, but if you don't like cinnamon this beer isn't for you. Feel is so thick and chewy, it's fantastic. Overall a great beer that I'd gladly drink again.
