This brand new IPA is our first EVER sherbet-style IPA! This particular style of IPA is a sour made with fruit & lactose...and Technicolor Dream Wolf is just that. Jam packed with copious amounts of juicy tangerine, it's remarkably tart & tangy rounded out with the perfect blend of creaminess.

L: Hazy straw gold under a lacy 3" cream colored foam cap with good retention.

S: Citrus, citrus rind, lactose, tangerine. Hop aromas are medium high, tangerine aromas medium.

T: Mildly sweet fruit with a trace of tartness and some pie crust in the background.

F: very creamy, moderate carbonation, medium plus body.

O: An edgy, well balanced beer with big citrus flavors. Pleasurable but hard to imagine drinking more than one in an evening.

Poured from crowler into glass. Fill date stamped on can as '11/26/18', followed by 'SOUR TANGY'.
Straw/pale gold colored body, with a cloudy appearance. Two finger white head dissipates after a few minutes to thin, bubbly cap and ring. Each sip leaves a few scattered spots of lacing.
Sour/tangy tangerine aroma, similar to unsweetened pineapple or tangerine fruit juice.
Taste is tangy/sour, with a bunch of unsweetened tangerine. The lactose adds a bit of sweetness. No bitterness.
Full mouth feel. Good carbonation. Finish is rather dry.
This is a beer that does not fit into any of the Beer Advocate beer styles. Untappd includes this in the style of 'Sour - Farmhouse IPA'. Even Junkyard calls this its first entry as a sherbet-style IPA. The sour/tart smell/taste is predominant, and traditional hop flavors are not really there. I like the beer because it has a very fruity taste, but is tart/sour, rather than sweet, spicy or floral. If one likes a tart/sour fruity beer, I recommend it.
