Canned 10/28/22 (2.5 months ago)

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (10% clarity) light and bright yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 5. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit citrus, somewhat tart, then lots of tropical pineapple and deep orange and mango flesh within. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of grapefruit citrus, tropical pineapple, sweet mango and melon underneath. Mildly tart, but ultimately finishes sweet. (4.00)

Feel: Heavier bodied, strong carbonation, a balanced finish. (4.00)

Compared to Hop Butcher Mega Dipped 1/11/2023: Pours lighter, similar head. Stronger aromas. More tart grapefruit citrus and tangerine. Less juicy and tropical pineapple and melon. Lighter and more citrusy and tart.

Overall: A pretty good NEIPA here. Has quite a citrus bite from the Amarillo, even a tart grapefruit quality which I didn't expect. Keeps it light enough among the tropical Simcoe. Nice flavors but only average for Junkyard who has a reputation in my mind of making some killer NEIPAs. (Rating: 4.00)

L-Yup looks the part...like they all do pretty much in this style..

S/T- Nice dose of citrus fruity hops and a sweeter honeyed malt.
new England style but with two of my favorite hops in Simcoe and Amarillo and it tastes great. Oranges, tangerines, a hint of tropical fruits as well...no hop bitterness....just all flavor....

F-High side of medum bodied...creamy smooth texture...easy drinking despite the heft in the ABV. Feels the DIPA part though....has more sticky sweetness to it than you'd expect in a basic NE style.

O-This is excellent. As expected. I could see this being dangerously drinkable.

Crowler. White head with lace. Hazy golden orange colors

Juicy. Lots of mango. Earthy and floral hops. Orange with some sort of creaminess. So much hops with an equal amount of juiciness. Really solid.

L: hazy gold under a 3" ecru cap with good retention.

S: tropical fruit, melon, mango, papaya, tangerine, citrus and a hint of dank.

T: Follows the aromas with additional support from biscuit and pie crust that help balance a moderate citrus rind bitterness.

F: Satiating, very creamy with a rich, luscious texture, medium plus body and medium carbonation.

O: a big flavorful beer that is like a meal in a can.
