The return of our favorite luncheon beverage is here! This Vermont style IPA was brewed with Sabro, Citra, and Mosaic hops! The combination of these hops embodies flavors and aromas of juicy tangerine and tropical fruits followed by a hint of cedar! Ah-hoooooo!

Noice surprise found at this brewery on the MN side near Fargo. Not sure if it was due to the narrow glassware, but I was initially worried this one looked a bit water. However, it has a pleasant sabro nose and a great flavor. Nice melon notes and some pineapple in there as well. Well done.

Cloudy, milky pale yellow body. Bubbly ivory white cap. Nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pineapple, coconut and tangerine. The flavor is more of the same, with coconut and pineapple the main players. Really nice flavor. Also some papaya. Gotta love the Sabro/coconut contribution. Medium bodied with sufficient carbonation. Finish is smooth and flavorful. Quite drinkable. Junkyard does it again. One of my favorite breweries for NEIPA and Vermont IPA.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a tulip glass.
Look- Medium gold, white frothy head, very hazy, opaque, no visible particulate, average head retention, above average lacing.
Smell- Melon, clementine, floral, between medium and high strength of scent.
Taste- Melon, clementine, pineapple, flavor falls off quickly, weak strength of flavor.
Feel- Thin body, mildly creamy, zero astringency, average carbonation, mild bitterness, mildly mouth watering finish.
Overall- Medium gold hazy look was great. Bouquet had nice scents with plenty of strength. Flavors were good, but weak and dissipated quickly. Feel was very thin, but had no astringency and was mildly creamy. Overall the beer was enjoyable, but the flavors were just too weak. I do love the tribute to Warren Zevon, I will keep this beer in my heart for a while!

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (15% clarity) light to medium golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 5-7. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong and juicy aromas of citrus and tropical notes. Strong pineapple, melon, some juicy berry, papaya, even some citrus. Very tropical and juicy. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of pineapple and tropical fruit. There's some sweet berry and melon underneath, but only dance for a second before that juicy, tropical citrus and pineapple clean the palate. Even a light herbal notes. (4.25)
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation to match. Flavorful, but clean and drinkable. (4.25)
Compared to Junkyard Retro Ski Suit IPA 9/22/22 :Pours a darker color, stronger aromas. More tropical and juicy pineapple and melon. Less citrus rind and OJ. Juicier, sweeter, and more tropical. Heavier as well. More flavor overall. Winner: Werewolves at Luncheon
Compared to Portage Lost 40 11/2022: Pours hazier and darker. Stronger aromas. More juicy and tropical citrus and pineapple. Less sweet melon, berry, apple. Juicier, brighter, but also dryer.
Compared to Modist Noteworth 11/2022: Pours lighter and clearer. Stronger aromas. More juicy and tropical. Less earthy and dank pine. Juicier, sweeter, and less bitter.
Overall: A very nicely done NEIPA here. Not exactly sure what the Vermont component contributes here as I couldn't tell a difference. Nice Sabro hop flavors of tropical fruit mixed with a bit of woodsy floral and cedar flavor. The balance is here. The complexity is here. The flavor is strong with this one. (Rating: 4.24)

I bought this for two reasons - it had a great fucking name, and it was a big ass can of IPA. As for the beer itself, it delivered. Cloudy orange yellow hues with a mild head and lacing. Citrusy and dank aromas, as is the taste, but in a subtle way. Creamy, big and full bodied, mouth watering finish, boozy. I like it.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, but left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of stone fruit and cream are present in the nose along with notes of lime and tangerine.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of lychee. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and rather juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the aromas and flavors of this New England-style IPA, especially the ones imparted by the Sabro hops. It is quite easy to drink.
