Canned 2/27/23 (1 month ago)
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) medium golden to pale yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 6-7. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, lemon citrus, sweet pineapple, tropical fruit underneath. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus, tropical melon, tangerine, papaya, and pineapple. Sweet melon on the finish. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied, average carbonation. Finishes juicy, sweet, slightly sticky. (3.75)
Compared to Fair State Smell Test 3/2023: Pours slightly hazier, milder head. Milder aromas. More sweet orange, pineapple, melon. Less orange citrus, lemon, papaya, and floral notes. Heavier and sweeter.
Overall: A decent NEIPA here. Some nice Simcoe flavors and not sure I've had BRU-1, but pretty good. This one leans a bit sweeter and heavy. Juicy orange, tangerine, pineapple flavors. Heavier and sweeter than I expected. (Rating: 3.92)
