This was the third beer of my Tavour order from last fall, that I'm finally getting around to now. Never had anything from Junkyward before but this was quite the introduction from them as I can honestly say that I've never had anything quite like this in all the years that I've reviewed beers on here.

If you like your beer to resemble pulpy grape juice, you've found your brew here. Topped off with a frothy, lavender head, this was what an ideal beer of this type should look like as it was fruited, out of the kettle, and plenty sour for me! A 5 on the label's "Pulp-o-meter", it's been a while since I've had anything as cloudy as this although it made the offsetting head that much more appealing. Tons of dotted, cloudy spots lingered with a ring right at the top of the liquid as this had the feeling of fruit juice which continued into the taste. Grape, blackberry, marshmallow, and lactose were all in the nose and on the palate to a balanced extent. Fresh-cut grass and fruit patch emerged once this warmed up, as that was right before I took my last sip.

The booze was here but you'd hardly know it if you were more focused on the taste and berry sweetness that were this beer's hallmarks. Packaged on 7/26 as per the label, this held up well as it would probably even better completely fresh. So much going on here as this was so wild (pun intended) with an end result having me wanting to look for these guys when I go back out that way later this year. No doubt that this deserves a high ranking on here once it has enough reviews!

16 oz can.

Pours a muddy deep maroon color with a large magenta head. Purple tones!

Aromas of peach, blackberry, blueberry, lemon zest, and marshmallow.

Tastes exactly as advertised: Blackberries, peach, and marshmallow fluff.

The feel is full-bodied with almost zero carbonation. It's a smoothie sour.

Overall, it's pretty good for the style. Nothing complex. Just a fruit smoothie with alcohol.

A: The beer is very hazy reddish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left lots of specks of bubbles down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Light to moderate aromas of berries and peaches are present in the nose along with hints of marshmallow.
T: The taste follows the smell and has mostly sweet flavors of berries and peaches along with hints of marshmallows.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is more sweet than it is sour and is very easy to drink.
