Let's rock out to 70s Rock Label, a New England Style IPA with HBC-586 hops.

Aromas of grape, Spree candy, passionfruit mixed with citrus. Tastes of sweet citrus, passionfruit, subtle ripe mango and guava with a subdued bitterness. Soft and pillowy mouth feel.

This is sure to blow your hair back to the 70s when you rocked out to your favorite rock band in a concert or maybe you enjoy them on vinyl.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (15% clarity) light golden to yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 5-6. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of lemon citrus, grapefruit, lychee, pear, and guava upfront. Then some pineapple and green melon to support. Finishes with more green citrus rind, lychee, and pear. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of lemon and lime citrus rind, grapefruit citrus, lychee, guava, and pear. Some mango, coconut and pineapple to support. Finishes with lots of green citrus, mildly herbal. A mild pine note. A little bit of plastic & slightly sweet. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. A mild sweetness and plastic component linger. (3.75)

Compared to BlackStack 755 HBC586 8/2/22: Pours a similar appearance. Juicier aromas. More pear, lychee, guava from the HBC. Less orange, mango, cantaloupe, and herbs.
10/2022: Pours similar. Stronger aromas. More tropical melon, lychee and coconut. Less citrus and crisp pineapple. Slighter sweeter.

Overall: A very flavorful NEIPA here. Does the HBC586 well. It provides a nice lemon citrus rind, lychee, guava, pear flavor. This one even has some pineapple and coconut that becomes more apparent as it warms. Medium-bodied and leans slightly sweet. Very enjoyable. (Rating: 4.14)

Medium golden and hazy with a thick rocky white head, this brew looks decent. Sweet citrus based nose is pretty nice too. Let’s give this puppy a swig. Oh man juicy and mildly sweet with only a touch of bite on the end, this brew is quite tasty indeed! I’m glad these cans are huge I just wish I had more for later. Light creamy texture with low carbonation works for this brew. Oh, well done ! Not really weak in any area.

A: The beer is very hazy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a lacy web of bubbles down the sides of the glass, a narrow collar around the edge, and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lychee are present in the nose along with notes of lychee.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of lychee and guava.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate and has a moderate amount carbonation.
O: I really liked the combination of lychee and guava in this NEIPA. It is very easy to drink.
