750ml waxed and capped gunmetal black bottle into a Side Project snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours moderately thick. A touch of transparency. Stringy lace, no head, oily, slick legs. Nose is booze, molasses, cocoa, and wafer. Beer opens fudge, chocolate, and vanilla. Boozy throughout. Super prominent barrel. Marshmallow richness and sugar is apparent. This one's super sweet. A slight hint of pecan in the aftertaste but overall, that adjunct is pretty mellow. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Foamy in the mouth and hot as heck. Slick, long, lingering aftertaste. Could be thicker with less carbonation.
The flavor and barrel are on point here but the feel just doesn't carry the flavors well overall.

Bottle. Tan head. Black(dark brown)color.
Marshmallow and vanilla for days. Fudge brownies and German chocolate cake. Oak, rye, barrel spice, warming. Smooth. Full bodied. This was a huge surprise. I expected it to be good, but not this good. Well done, junkyard.

Pours flat and black, little to no carbonation and oily black. Aroma is sweet, nutty and reminiscent of some bourbon barrel beer. Taste is of pecan and marshmallow or sweet. The ABV is definitely present -- not like you can hide a 13.8% monster beer on a small island.
